BOZEMAN, MT — Following the Land Board’s vote to expand Montana’s public lands, Kathleen Williams, candidate for Montana’s lone US House seat, released the following statement:
I was glad to see Commissioner Rosendale take my advice and vote to expand Montana’s public lands, despite his repeated attempts to limit or even transfer Montana’s public lands. One vote does not erase years of attacking Montana’s outdoor heritage, and we need more than election-year politicking on such a critical issue. Montana needs true, independent leadership in Montana that will protect our public lands every day, not just when it’s politically advantageous.
