BOZEMAN, MT — On Purple Heart Day, Kathleen Williams, candidate for Montana’s lone U.S. House seat, released the following statement honoring those who have been wounded or made the ultimate sacrifice for our country:
I am the proud daughter of a World War II veteran and wife of a Vietnam-era veteran. Our veterans represent the best of us. On Purple Heart Day, we take time to reflect on, remember, and honor the men and women who were wounded on the battlefield or made the ultimate sacrifice for this country. Thanks to their selfless service, we live in a better, freer world. We must continue to acknowledge their sacrifice and ensure they, and all veterans and their families, receive the services and support they deserve.
Kathleen Williams has been called the “candidate Montana has been waiting for.” A three-term legislator with a nearly four-decade career solving tough issues and getting results, she is true to Montana—hard-working, independent, and honest. In Congress, she’ll stand up to special interests and partisan gridlock, and work just as hard for Montanans as they do every day.
